With a concept rooted in Japanese-style living environments, the Nychair X has a simple but beautiful and functional design that suits a range of environments, inside or out. Both visually 'light' and lightweight to carry, the chair can be folded and moved or stored with ease.
Designed by Takeshi Nii in 1958, the aim was to create a simple, space saving chair with an ergonomic design that would create maximum comfort. Since its launch in 1970 it has won many awards including the prestigious Long Life Design award.
The removable seat is made from Kurashiki sailcloth - a high grade, extremely durable, cotton fabric that has been produced at the same factory since 1888.
